2025 AO Gulf Getaway Convention Recap & Photos
Alpha Omega gathered in Florida for the AO Gulf Getaway Convention, spending five memorable days together at the Naples Grande Beach Resort. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Gulf Coast, the week brought members from across chapters together for outstanding programming, great food, beautiful weather, and, most importantly, time with one another.
The convention opened with a warm Welcome Reception that set the tone for the days ahead. Engaging continuing education sessions followed, featuring excellent speakers and timely topics. Throughout the week, members had many opportunities to reconnect with longtime friends, meet new colleagues, and enjoy the relaxed setting, whether during educational programs or informal moments around the resort.
One of the highlights of the week was the Installation Ceremony, marking an important leadership transition for Alpha Omega. Sharon Perlmutter was installed as President of Alpha Omega International Dental Society, continuing a special family legacy. Sharon follows in the footsteps of her father, Gordy Perlmutter, of blessed memory, who also served as International President. This second-generation moment was especially meaningful and served as a reminder of the continuity, shared history, and values that define Alpha Omega.
The Installation Ceremony also included the installation of Alpha Omega’s officers and members of the Board, recognizing those who have stepped forward to serve and ensuring a smooth transition of leadership.
Another special moment during the week was AO Night of Purpose, a well-attended Foundation event that brought members together for an evening focused on reflection, renewal, and impact. The program highlighted the Foundation’s mission and the important work it supports, adding a meaningful and inspiring dimension to the overall convention experience.
Shabbat Dinner provided a welcome pause in the week, offering time for tradition, reflection, and community. Throughout the convention, shared meals were highlights in their own right, from relaxed breakfasts to elegant evening events. Great food, warm hospitality, and generous time together made these gatherings an integral part of the AO Gulf Getaway experience.
We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the AO Gulf Getaway Convention such a success. Below is a selection of photo highlights capturing moments from across the five days, from learning and leadership to celebration and camaraderie.
