We in our Jewish world find ourselves again entrenched in another battle for our survival as honorable people in Israel and around the globe. AO was established in 1907 as a response to anti-Semitism at the dental school at the University of Maryland, and from that humble beginning, we have grown and expanded enormously. We are proud members of the dental profession and have contributed much to the advancement of dentistry. We are also proud members of our Jewish communities wherever we find ourselves.
With that in mind, I ask that you support AO by paying your dues this year so that AO can remain strong and viable to continue its mission.
We are the voice of the Jew in dentistry. We stand for tolerance and against hate. We support projects that help deliver excellent oral healthcare to anyone needing our services. AO must remain able to keep our students safe at their schools. AO must remain able to stand up for our alumni, as well. AO is actively engaged in a fundraising venture to raise money for Magen David Adom and NATAN, both in Israel.
Israel is in trouble, and it is incumbent upon each of us to do all that we can to help our Israeli family overcome the horrific attack by Hamas on Oct 7, 2023. By keeping the flame of Alpha Omega burning brightly, you are doing what you need to do to allow us to remain strong in our support of Israel and the Jewish people around the world.
