Trudi Birger Community Service Award

This award recognizes an individual, group, or chapter that has demonstrated exemplary service to their community.

About the Award

The Trudi Birger Community Service Award honors those who have made a meaningful impact through service and outreach. It recognizes individuals and organizations whose work reflects a strong commitment to improving the lives of others and strengthening their communities.

The award is named in honor of Trudi Birger, a Holocaust survivor whose life experience inspired a deep commitment to humanitarian service. She founded Dental Volunteers for Israel (DVI), a free dental clinic in Jerusalem that provides care to children of all faiths and backgrounds.

Her legacy continues to inspire dentists and Alpha Omega members to give back through volunteerism, outreach, and service to those in need.
